A virtual place where to share knowledge about software production in a relaxed and unfiltered way
The term “software production” is not commonly used in the industry or outside of it. The most common term is “software development,” which leads to a slew of related terminology like “developer,” “programmer,” “coder,” and so on. Additional nomenclature developed from management and methodologies introduces another plethora of names for roles and procedures, nearly obscuring the primary goal of each activity: producing software.

As a result, it is not surprising that most people involved in producing software periodically experience a loss of perspective. Getting the big picture starts from using the most proper term about what is being done, and since producing software is what it all boils down to, then software production is that term.
I spent over three decades producing software, and I accumulated a certain wealth of knowledge about what are the good ideas that make good software.
I am starting
“Antonio’s software lounge” (ASL)
to share those ideas.
I will be helped in exposing concepts and ideas by concrete examples provided by three applications I produced on top of my own framework(s).
The following video published on ASL’s twin channel on YouTube offers a quick preview of the apps and a hint to what is coming next:
Follow me to stay in wonderland and see how deep the rabbit-hole goes.
All for now.
